Abacus Mind Math Curriculum

To help your child achieve exceptional results in the shortest time possible, it’s important to follow a proven, comprehensive Abacus Mind Math Curriculum designed for effective and efficient learning.

Although there is lot to cover, to help your child achieve exceptional results, it’s important to follow a comprehensive Abacus Mind Math Curriculum that makes it more manageable for our students and lead them to success in the shortest time possible.

Our Abacus Mind Math curriculum has been organized into six core Units.

To remove any guesswork and to maintain a manageable and sustainable rhythm, the content for each unit is further broken down by Weeks.

There are eleven weeks of lesson plans for each Unit.

In each Unit, children spend time learning and internalizing techniques by using the physical Abacus.  They also spend time doing Mind Math which is listed as “Picture Abacus” in the table below.

A question that we are often asked is “how quickly will my child learn to calculate in their head?”.

The answer may surprise you.  Within just 4 weeks of starting, we take the child from introducing them to the Abacus to calculating in their head.

Given, that they won’t be able to calculate any number in their head right away like you see in this video, but they will know very quickly what’s expected of them and how to go about getting it done.  And with every week that goes by, you will see them getting better, faster, and more confident.

The content in each Unit is structured as follows:
